Templates to start from
Pick one to open it in the design maker, ready to edit. You can also start from a blank canvas in any of these sizes.
How to make one
- Pick a template. It opens in the design maker, in your browser.
- Change the words and pictures. Double-tap any text to type over it, and double-tap a photo frame to add your own photo.
- Make it yours. With nothing selected, choose a colour palette and a font pairing, and the whole design changes to match. Move, resize or add anything you like.
- Download. Download a PDF and print it at 100% (actual size). For a print shop, tick 3mm bleed and crop marks.
Sizes
| Format | Pixels | Print size |
|---|---|---|
| A4 poster | 1240 × 1754 | 210 × 297 mm |
| A5 flyer | 874 × 1240 | 148 × 210 mm |
Tips
- Make the main line readable from across a room: a few words, as large as the page allows.
- Add a QR code for tickets, a map or a phone number. Test it with your phone before printing lots.
- Most home printers can't print to the very edge of the paper. If you want colour right to the edge, use a print shop and tick the bleed option.
- Need it smaller? Resize design turns the poster into an A5 flyer or an Instagram post.
Common questions
Can I print it at A3?
Yes. The PDF is high resolution, so print the A4 PDF at A3 size on your printer or at a print shop. Everything scales up evenly.
Will the colours print the same?
Screens and printers show colour slightly differently, particularly bright blues and greens. Print one copy to check before printing a batch.
Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no account, no watermark and no limit on downloads. The design maker runs in your browser, so your photos and words aren’t uploaded anywhere.
Can I come back to my design later?
Yes. Designs are kept in this browser and listed under Your designs when you open the design maker. To move one to another device, use Download › Save editable project.
Everything else is in the design maker guide.
