Templates to start from
Pick one to open it in the design maker, ready to edit. You can also start from a blank canvas in any of these sizes.
How to make one
- Pick a template. It opens in the design maker, in your browser.
- Change the words and pictures. Double-tap any text to type over it, and double-tap a photo frame to add your own photo.
- Make it yours. With nothing selected, choose a colour palette and a font pairing, and the whole design changes to match. Move, resize or add anything you like.
- Download. Download a PNG or JPG and add it to your post, or set the banner on your LinkedIn profile.
Sizes
| Format | Pixels |
|---|---|
| Facebook / LinkedIn post | 1200 × 630 |
| LinkedIn banner | 1584 × 396 |
| Instagram post | 1080 × 1080 |
Tips
- 1200 × 630 is also the size websites use for link previews, so the same picture works when you share a blog post.
- On a LinkedIn banner, your profile photo covers the bottom-left corner. Keep words towards the right.
- A square 1080 × 1080 post works on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, if you want one picture for all three.
- For job adverts, the We're hiring template has room for the role, a few lines about it and how to apply.
Common questions
Which size should I use?
1200 × 630 for posts with a link and for general updates, 1080 × 1080 for a picture that's the post itself, and 1584 × 396 for a LinkedIn profile banner.
Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no account, no watermark and no limit on downloads. The design maker runs in your browser, so your photos and words aren’t uploaded anywhere.
Can I come back to my design later?
Yes. Designs are kept in this browser and listed under Your designs when you open the design maker. To move one to another device, use Download › Save editable project.
