About Just Freakin’ Do It!

Just Freakin’ Do It! is a set of free tools that run in your browser. There's no account to create, nothing to install, and your files never leave your device.

Your data stays with you. Every tool does its work inside your own browser. What you type, paste or upload is never sent to our server, so you can use the tools with work files without uploading them anywhere.

How it works

Each tool is a web page that runs in your browser. Work you save is kept in your browser's own storage on this device. Chart share links carry the chart inside the link itself, after the #, the part of a web address that browsers never send to a server.

Credits

Charts are drawn with d3 and d3-sankey, both open source under the ISC licence. Maps use d3-geo (ISC licence), country boundaries from Natural Earth and US boundaries from the US Census Bureau (both public domain), prepared by us-atlas and us-counties-10m-topojson (ISC licence), with US population figures via Johns Hopkins CSSE. UK boundaries are from the Office for National Statistics (Open Government Licence; contains OS data © Crown copyright and database right), with hexagon layouts by the House of Commons Library (Open Parliament Licence) and council and constituency figures from mySociety. QR codes follow the ISO/IEC 18004 standard and are made by our own code. The PDF toolkit uses pdf.js (Apache 2.0 licence) to show pages and pdf-lib (MIT licence) to build new files. The image editor removes backgrounds with the IS-Net model (Apache 2.0 licence) on our own engine, opens HEIC photos with libheif (LGPL licence) and traces SVGs with imagetracerjs (public domain). The file converter reads spreadsheets with SheetJS (Apache 2.0 licence), converts video and audio with Mediabunny (MPL 2.0 licence) and the LAME MP3 encoder, FLAC and parts of FFmpeg (LGPL licence), reads Markdown with marked and YAML with js-yaml (both MIT licence), and makes PDFs with the Liberation, Carlito and Caladea fonts (SIL Open Font Licence). Full licence texts. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
